THE VIET NAM WAR

This was the first epochal event of my generation. Over 58,000 young men died in the hostilities. Their deaths touched all Americans of that era in one way or another. Whether you protested or supported the war, fought it or dodged it, you were touched. All Americans of that era found different ways to express their patriotism. Some patriots condemned the protestors as traitors. The protestors said that they were patriots trying to build a better America. Those who fought it did so out of patriotism. The memorial is dedicated to all military personel who served during the war. This link will take you to our memorial page. A new browser window will open.

THE WORLD TRADE CENTER

On the morning of September 11, 2001 Americans were jolted out of their complacency by acts of unspeakable horror. We watched in total disbelief as the barbarians came crashing through our gates and into our living rooms. More than 3,000 people died that day.

The links below connect to two tributes to those who died. Each is worth a look. The first is a very moving video presentation. The second contains many links to 911 memorial videos. I invite you to visit and remember. We must remember and be vigilant to prevent the next attack.

THE USS ARIZONA

As a young man, I wanted to visit the Arizona Memorial in Hawaii. Two years ago I finally had the chance to go to Hawaii, and went to Pearl Harbor to pay my respects to those who died. It was a very solemn experience for me. To me the Memorial represents all Americans who paid the ultimate price so that we may live free. We will never know who all of them are, but America stands in liberty as a tribute to each of them.
