 THE VIET NAM WAR
This was the first epochal event of my generation. Over 58,000 young men died in the hostilities. Their deaths touched all Americans of that era in one way or another. Whether you protested or supported the war, fought it or dodged it, you were touched. All Americans of that era found different ways to express their patriotism. Some patriots condemned the protestors as traitors. The protestors said that they were patriots trying to build a better America. Those who fought it did so out of patriotism.
The memorial is dedicated to all military personel who served during the war. This link will take you to our memorial page. A new browser window will open. |
